The film was released in theatres in Japan on 22 December The voice actor cast of the anime television series reprised their roles. After receiving an order to be replaced in Operation Strix, Loid decides to help Anya win a cooking competition at Eden Academy by making the principal's favorite meal in order to prevent his replacement. The Forgers decide to travel to the meal's origin region, where they set off a chain of actions which could potentially put world peace at risk. The film was announced at the Jump Festa event in December with the supervision from Tatsuya Endo. On 30 October , the anime social media released another movie trailer, which announced "Soulsoup" by Official Hige Dandism as the main theme song. On 2 July , it was announced that the film would be having a collaboration project with Street Fighter 6. An illustration drawn by Capcom's illustrator and designer Chisato Mita was also revealed. Yor and Loid's hairstyles are also added to the avatar creation.
