The new restaurant is located at the corner of Hyacinth Avenue and Perkins Road, across the street from Rouses Market. Sunday Brunch menu items available from along with the regular menu. The brunch menu only has 4 items to choose from with each selection offering a side item. Fresh fruit was offered with each brunch item and that was a pleasant surprise. The crab cakes with poached eggs on top was very good. The shrimp and grits came with a cream sauce and poached eggs as well. A twist on the traditional southern dish but very good. I went in solo and sat at the bar. It was such a great experience from beginning to end. I told the host T I would sit at the bar since I was by myself and she took me over to show me the seat The bartender Tejay was went beyond in providing great service and suggestions for drinks and food. I got to chat with others sitting at the bar and it had the feel of a neighborhood hang out with an elevated atmosphere. The drinks were amazing, I had a King Cake Martini special of the month and a blueberry lemon drop. For my meal I had the Royal Redfish with a side salad. It filled me up and I had enough for lunch the next day. For dessert Tejay recommended the Bananas Foster Cheesecake so I got that to go and it did not disappoint.
