Several people recommended Sonopan, a Canadian product that comes in 4x8 sheets. Tack it onto the rafters, then screw the sheetrock over the Sonopan, and it's supposed to help a lot. Unfortunately Cascades who makes Sonopan has no dealers or distributors anywhere near me. They kindly offered to send me a truckload of sheets, but that's a bit more than I need for my room. Anybody have suggestions for similar material I could find in the US? Any idea how much good it will do?
