When America's last standing roller rinks are threatened with closure, a community of thousands battle in a racially charged environment to save an underground subculture. Dyana Winkler Tina Brown. I loved learning about the African American history and subculture of roller rinks but I especially enjoyed the skating style roll-calls from all of the cities across the U.
