Silverado transmission replacement cost

Been having issues with my transmission not shifting correctly on my Silverado. Took it in to the dealership and just got the call, needs new torque converter, and a couple valves replaced.

My Silverado with miles developed a shifting problem about two months ago. Took it in and they changed the fluid and filter and reprogrammed the Transmission Control Unit, hoping that would solve the issue BTW I have done the recommended maintenance when due and had the transmission fluid flush done at Well that didn't fix the problem so I took it back in. The dealership called yesterday and said the torque converter and a couple valves are bad. If transmission fails in a month, too bad. I am so pissed, less than a year and miles out of warranty and this crap happens. Dealership won't cut me a break on the cost either. I have been a GM fan forever and have owned and still own GM vehicles. I was even considering upgrading to a HD next year.
