New PM! Discussion Poll Photo Album. Sig Romeo 1 mounting pattern. I've googled and searched, but I'm sure this has been discussed. Is there any other dot that has the same mounting pattern as the Romeo 1? Heavily tempted by the x5, but would also prefer a more proven dot than the Romeo. Don't have an answer to your question but I can tell you thus far the romeo has held a zero and works well on my pc rx though about rounds. I haven't abused it but I prefer the sight picture to the rmr, and glad that I went this route vs buying a third rmr to have it mounted. I'm sure the rmr may be more durable but the larger window and shape, and the ability to change battery without removing the sight has made me very happy thus far. My only criticism is that the lowest setting is not low enough for use with night vision, even though it is intended to be a night vision setting. It appears to have its own proprietary platform. It is unique in that is it 2mm shorter lengthwise forward of the bolt holes that a DPP or a Venom footprint.

If you grind off the little nipples bosses on the mount, the Romeo will probably fit on the DPP mount. But I wouldn't want the screws be the only thing keeping it secure on the mount. The screws can shear without the bosses.

I suppose anything is possible if you make the mounting plate thick enough but I also don't want the optic sitting way about the slide.
