Players first must win 5-star raids featuring Mega Latias and Mega Latios to get a chance at their Shiny encounter. But these legendaries are extremely hard to win against; players must have proper counters to achieve it. One must first defeat Mega Latias and Mega Latios in raids ; only then will a chance to encounter their Shiny variants appear.
