As the name implies, Shelly Wi-Fi devices are designed to connect directly to your Wi-Fi network unlike Z-Wave or Zigbee , they do not require a dedicated hub to work. For the most part, this works really well. However, as I am sure we have all experienced, sometimes setting up Wi-Fi devices can be tricky. The first thing we need to do… download the Shelly app for Apple or Android. There are currently two Shelly apps available… the legacy Shelly Cloud app black app icon and the new Shelly Smart Control app blue-ish app icon. Done but with no success. I have 8 awnings based on shelly 2. Is there anything unusual about your network that those 4 non-working devices are connected through? I faced the problem of my Shelly devices becoming regularly unavailable in Home Assistant. Looking at the availability history this problem was quite obvious and especially annoying when a Home Assistant automation e. I lived with this problem for way too long given that there is actually a straigh-forward reason and fix for it. Sometimes it actually helps to read the documentation. Looking at the Shelly Home Assistant integration page , it clearly states. We recommend using unicast for communication. As far as I can tell for now this has fixed the problem.
