Physical limitations, bathroom needs, vision and hearing loss, specific food and medication needs, along with a desire for a calm and quiet environment make sending your senior to a regular boarding kennel a challenge. I know I would not be comfortable sending my own elderly dogs 10,13, 14, and 16 years old there at this stage in their lives. Shady Pines is located on a very quiet street with no thru-traffic in Vallejo, California - about 30 miles outside of San Francisco. The degree fencing allows the doors to be open, giving freedom to move in and out for bathroom breaks, sunbathing, and cooling off as needed.

If your fur baby gets hurt while staying for daycare, you're completely responsible for the vet bill even though you had nothing to do with your babies injury! Our dogs and cat were here for 4 nights. We sent wet food, dry food and bread as well as toys. One of the dogs has a cut on his head and nothing was said about it, so we have no clue where it came from. Apparently they were so dirty they had to be washed off, not sure why.
