From gameplay to game modes the fighting game community is responding with almost all positives and praise when it comes to Street Fighter 6, but there's one aspect that's getting all the negative press: the awful cover art. The first thing many will see when they spot Street Fighter 6 for the first time will be the semi-scrunched face of Luke, the game's protagonist, that the internet can't help but comparing to Popeye the Sailor Man. In fact, said comparison has been made so much that the official Popeye account has addressed it. This account, which has nearly 50 thousand followers, regularly shares Popeye-related material and always does so with quotes that reflect the way the spinach-loving cartoon character speaks. The reason so many compare Luke to the sailor is not only for his one-eyed look in this less than flattering snap shot, but also because of the fact that Luke's forearms grow abnormally large when he powers up for his hardest-hitting special attacks. Comparisons to Popeye have been prevalent since even before the artwork was first revealed back December, but surged once ragging on the box art became the cool new thing to do. Indeed, this isn't the first time we've seen this internet hate resonate out and garner responses from third parties as Aleks Le, the voice actor for Luke in Street Fighter 6, went as far as to make his own SF6 box art design as tons of fan-made alternates have been popping up. While it's a very good thing to have as your game's biggest fault in the eyes of its community, we are holding out a little hope that Capcom decides to update the cover to something a little less meme-able. What do you think of Street Fighter 6's cover art and the reactions it's been getting? We'd be happy to hear your reactions to it as well as to the fact that it's causing as much resonance as it is in the comments below.

We did indeed get some public gameplay opportunity via the awesome albeit limited SF6 Demo , but hopes for an experience that includes online functionality and more than two characters is still in the air. Capcom has made nothing in the way of official announcements for a tertiary test, but a suspicious tweet made by Capcom Germany early Sunday morning very well may be intended to pave the way for such an announcement. Here's the tweet, which shows off four stills of a very emotive Guile being chased by a headbutting Honda and is accompanied by the text "Something As pointed out by Emezie Okorafor, Capcom via the official Street Fighter Twitter account posted this same tweet with the same four images and the same text back on November It was the game's second closed beta test that was "coming" back in November, specifically 16 days after the initial hint tweet went out. Does that mean we're a little over two weeks away from something? Is that something a beta?

Careful selection of Special Moves can ensure you have a balanced move set in case you get cornered. Or… fight alongside your masters using Master Assist! You can fight alongside a Master like Ryu by calling upon them in battle. They will then join the fray and help you for a period of time. Make sure to thank them after the fight.

It was announced on February 21st, Fighting Ground contains local and online versus battles as well as training and arcade modes, all featuring similar 2D fighting gameplay to the previous games in the series, in which two fighters use a variety of attacks and special abilities to knock out their opponent. World Tour is a single-player story mode with RPG-like mechanics, featuring a customizable player avatar exploring 3D environments with action-adventure gameplay. Battle Hub acts as an online lobby mode, using customizable player avatars from the World Tour mode with features such as taking part in Avatar Battles, using the DJ Booth, playing classic games in the Game Center, etc. The main fighting gameplay of Street Fighter 6 is based around the Drive Gauge, a system designed to encourage player creativity. The gauge can be used for five different techniques, requiring players to choose which to prioritize. The game features three control types: the "classic" control scheme has a six-button layout that functions similarly to previous entries, the "modern" control scheme assigns special moves to a single button combined with a directional input, and the "dynamic" control scheme, which is only allowed in certain parts in the Fighting Ground mode, but is not allowed in online battles, uses a single button auto attack layout, based on what range is performed. However, each character only has three super combos based on their respective level gauge. It'll feature eight different commentators, four of each of the two commentary types: play-by-play commentary and color color commentary.
