The new sites can be accessed by foot from designated parking areas in townships of Seymour, Tallarook, Murchison and Molesworth. The Seymour site can be access from the end of Anglesey Street, while Tallarook camping area one is accessed via a pedestrian gate off the Mansfield-Tallarook Rail trail, near the picnic area shelter.

This camping area provides walk-in camping and fishing on the banks of the Goulburn River, on the edge of Seymour. Seymour Camping area 1 is on a licensed Crown water frontage that has been designated for camping. Before visiting this site, find out about camping on licensed Crown water frontages. This river frontage is on the southern edge of Seymour on the Goulburn River, with flat, grassy areas available for camping. River access is via a short steep bank. The camping area is about 3. It is licensed for grazing livestock and is next to unfenced private property. It is important that campers take care to use the map and instructions below to safely access the area and avoid trespassing on private property. Several large vans can camp overlooking the river at present, maybe more once the bridge is completed. Large grassed areas are also available and both river and grass areas have some shade with trees. Their is nothing else here such as toilets etc. In saying that, Seymour has a dump point and a separate fresh water tap for you to use.
