I am lucky enough to be writing this from my home in Hampshire profiting from some wonderful weather and surroundings, serena fresson. It had 66 rooms which we ran like a private house, and I helped keep the interiors up to date, as well as working very closely with the housekeepers to ensure all the everyday details were perfect. We redecorated the hotel room by room, which was a continual task, and totally transformed it. The design process usually started with finding a hero fabric and finding inspiration from that.

As well as running the hotel, we also owned a nearby gym in Chelsea called Synergy. It was a huge amount of work, but it was incredibly interesting to have another side project to work on.

Serena and I met virtually through Instagram, as we both share a passion for elegant decor, chintz, lettuceware, and blue and white porcelain. She lives in the most breathtakingly beautiful home in the English countryside, which she has graciously allowed me to feature. It truly belongs in Architectural Digest! Serena is an Australian born mother of four… five including her beloved Puggle, Daphne, and she is a new grandmother of two adorable grandchildren.
