Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is filled to the brim with oversized mythical creatures. Many of these beings are malevolent demons looking to hunt down the player at all costs. Some still are simply guarding their territory with lethal force if absolutely necessary. The Great Colored Carp is no different from these other enormous beasts. Killing this massive leviathan can net the player special rewards as well as special achievements. Luckily there is a pretty reasonable method for dispatching such a large fish. The Great Colored Carp is an optional boss enemy that is found near the end of the game in the Fountainhead Palace. The Carp is able to kill the player in one shot, so players should be sure they are ready for the encounter before they approach. Killing the Carp and recovering its corpse will earn the player the Great White Whisker and an achievement. From the Palace Grounds Idol, players will go to the right and follow the path through a building and out the other side.

Present this whisker to him as proof that his Master is dead, sekiro giant carp, and he'll be slightly relieved and give you Divine Grass. You should see an idol on the right and a tall, purple robed noble who is friendly on the left.

Bosses are special, dangerous Enemies that feature their own arena, a large and prominent health bar, and a variety of unique moves and abilities. Along the floor of Fountainhead Palace you'll find Precious Bait you can eventually feed the carp. But this isn't actually what we're after. What you want is Truly Precious Bait, and there's only two ways to get it.

Whose you use on the Great Carp will dictate who becomes a carp while the other dies. Head to the far left corner and grapple to a branch leading you just before the feeding platform near the water.
