We've had various room skimmed and a couple of small areas patched by a plasterer where a stud partition was removed. Where the partition was removed it obviously left a vertical strip in the adjoining wall the needed filled in.

I have a full 5L bottle of PVA bought this summer, and still more than half left. Could it be used for gluing a cracked IKEA sofa bed slat? The slat is thin and looks very cheaply made of plywood, and is cracked and halved in two, when someone stood on it. I read that PVA is wood glue, but it is just I always used it as diluted solution applied to the walls before plastering, never as wood glue. Just wondering if the PVA would work well for attaching the broken 2 pieces of slats into one, or is it better go and get a new Wood Glue for the job? Theleman , Oct 28, Check it out.

Sorry if not right forum I need to lay 70 carpet tiles which I'm about to order online. I'm guessing it'll stick the carpet tiles just fine but will they come up again if I need to replace a damaged one? Better to use the double sided that that is sold for them, cleaner, less chance of getting glue on the pile and they can be lifted without damage to floor or tile. I only fix a border around high traffic areas as the rest will stay in place by themselves. You will probably want to swap a few around as they wear so better off not fixing them all.

PVA is what I use all the time, as do many other woodworkers, and it great for wood First two are acrylic based but the SBR bond isn't that I can see, though I am more drawn to this as it seems to offer better waterproofing aid. A woman who works with the wife had her bathroom redone, the "tiler" said 2 days start to finish, true to his word he did it and it looked lovely, that night she was about to get in the bath and a large section of the tiles fell off, they damaged the bath which emptied onto the floor, went through the ceiling and flooded the kitchen. No skimming, no sealing, totaly impervious to water if ever a leak. This site uses cookies to help personalise content, tailor your experience and to keep you logged in if you register.
