The main water pressure to the house is relatively high, if this has any bearing on the choice. You need part two high pressure in order to comply with the Water Regulations. The part two valve has an operating arm with a right angle bend in it and the float is adjusted by sliding up or down this arm then tightening a screw. The part one valve you have to bend the arm to adjust the height of the float. Also the part one valve discharges the water from below, whereas the part two valve discharges from above via a diverter pipe.
