Some events are fun weekends with a central theme and a lot of different offerings held over many days. Others have a more sngle minded focus and are scheduled as a single evening or last for a few hours. And whatever events draw you to Salisbury, there is always the beach to enjoy. The Surfside Live series is held on Saturday nights and features two exciting live shows. The first is a concert that features a different band every week. This is followed by a fireworks display. The price is right too - Free! The music starts at 7 PM and is held on a beach stage. Bring a blanket or beach chair, make your way to the beach from the Broadway Street beach access and find a seat in the sand. After the music ends and it is fully dark, fireworks are shot off from a barge in the ocean. The series begins in late June and runs until early September.

A large portion of this state owned beach is bordered on its west side by private property that contains summer homes and rental properties.
