Growth in brewery numbers remained quiet until five years ago, rustic reel, when breweries began popping up all over the city. Now with 15 breweries and counting, it has become a true beer destination. The owner and operator of the now one-year old Rustic Reel Brewing Co. Susi certainly comes across as a strong woman who has carefully thought out and planned her operation and will take on as many roles as needed to make her rustic reel succeed.

There's a blend of nature and city, orchards and beaches, patios and campfires, creating that one and only Okanagan vibe. That same vibe is distilled into the beers we craft and the space we invite you to enjoy. Rustic Reel Brewing Co. Built on a foundation of inclusion, we foster a community while producing craft beers that are easy to drink on your fishing boat, while barbequing with friends, or just relaxing on your couch at the end of a long day. With an expansive pet-friendly patio, large garage bay doors, cozy fireplace, and an open space with long communal tables, our Taproom provides a place to come as you are with friends and family, and meet new friends over casual beers!

This is one of my favourite places to go in Kelowna. The beer and food is delicious. My favourite beers are the amber, hazy IPA, and Porter. My favourite foods are the nachos, sausage flight, beef brisket sandwich, the shrimp croissant sandwich and the beer They also have brunch that they serve on Sundays, and everything I have had has been delicious. Just outside of the downtown core but an easy walk or bike ride, otherwise lots of parking.

The atmosphere is comfortable and familiar—as are the easygoing and approachable classic craft beers Rustic Reel brews. Owner Susi Foerg pays tribute to her German roots with occasional German-inspired beer styles and menu items—so why not pair that dunkelweizen with a pork schnitzel and spaetzle, ja? If you plan your visit for a Sunday, the brewery offers a make-your-own caesar bar and all-day brunch. The hair of the dog never tasted so good!
