Every June, international tennis takes place with coverage beamed across the world on TV. Other tennis events include County tennis, junior and veteran events, all free to spectators. Favoured by many world class tennis champions, these courts that are maintained all year round are often referred to as the best grass courts in the world and our groundsteam have won multiple awards. Our club caters to all tennis levels; beginner and advanced. With a membership you not only get access to our four beautiful Har-Tru courts, but there are many opportunities to improve your game. Becoming a member provides you with a network of other tennis players at our club to learn from and play with. In addition it allows access to all adult programming we put on throughout the season ranging from organized mixed doubles, tournaments, and clinics. By joining our club you have the opportunity to improve your tennis game and meet many with the same love for the sport. Members have access to all court facilities courts, clubhouse, ball machine , as well as all additional programs and clinics put on by the club. There is a lot more than just access to the courts available to you! Memberships include club orientation and tennis lessons for new members, boot camps, tennis game nights and clinics, friendly club tournaments, mixed and team tennis leagues, a tennis ladder, as well as cardio tennis sessions.

We have four Har-Tru courts nestled among the trees. Whether you wish to play in a friendly mixed social, take a few lessons, or play on competitive teams, RTC offers all this and more. Four red clay courts with nets soon graced the land, with the lines chalked in by hand. In the Rothesay Lawn Tennis Club held its first annual meeting. Within a year, 66 members served, volleyed and lobbed tennis balls on the dusty courts. Rupert Turnbull donated a trophy for what became known as the annual Turnbull Cup of round-robin club play, the first handicapped club tournament in all of Canada. Over the years the courts have switched to different tennis surfaces first starting as red clay, then switching to had court and then back to har-tru which it is now.
