Drama following the exploits of an Australian search and rescue team. The first episode sees the team searching for two teenagers who have gone missing from a school camp in the rugged terrain of the Blue Mountains. They find one of the duo shaken and cold, but he refuses to say what happened to his girlfriend, until Heidi uncovers a bizarre teen love triangle. Meanwhile, Dean and Lara locate a plane-crash survivor. Dean rescues an attractive young woman, and against his better judgement, becomes romantically involved with her. Meanwhile, Lara saves a thrillseeker who almost drowned in search of the ultimate adrenaline rush, and is left intrigued by the experience. The team helps the fire services following an explosion at a nightclub, where Jordan bumps into a friend from his misspent youth. The venue's drug kingpin owner is later stabbed to death, and it emerges Jordan's former ally is a suspect in the murder. Meanwhile, Dean and Jake make a bet about Lara, who is less than amused. A rock-thrower causes a horrific three-vehicle accident, and Dean struggles to rescue a local bookie from the wreckage. Chase agrees to fulfil a badly injured woman's dying wish, and is soon dragged into her daughter's anguished teenage world.
