Callum first met Rayla during a planned assassination of both King Harrow and his son Ezran , where she was quick to attack the princes upon stepping into the castle of Katolis. Once they discovered the egg of the Dragon Prince , both of them set aside the hatred of their heritages to join forces. But as time went by, the relationship between the two quickly blossomed. Once they had known each other a little longer, Callum showed his care for Rayla through small things, such as comforting her when getting seasick in a boat, as well as when she was overwhelmed by sadness for her parents [2] , by trying to make her comfortable on their journey and expressing gratitude at her willingness to open up when she finally began to trust him.
