Transmedicalism , whose believers are often known as "truscum" "true transsexual scum" , is broadly defined as the belief that being transgender is contingent upon experiencing persistent gender dysphoria and undergoing necessary medical treatment in transitioning. Transmedicalists believe that individuals who identify as transgender but who do not experience gender dysphoria or seek to undergo medical transition, through methods such as hormone replacement therapy and sex reassignment surgery, are not genuinely transgender. Modern proponents of transmedicalism argue that the trans community has harmed itself by promoting gender abolitionism and the non-existence of criteria for someone to identify as transgender. This harm, transmedicalists argue, often comes in the form of transition care being seen by many as cosmetic and not necessary procedures, truly dysphoric trans people being marginalized within the already marginalized trans community due to differences in lived experience, and to an extent, transphobia from cis people. Critics of transmedicalism argue that the belief pathologizes and gatekeeps having a transgender identity, which can harm people exploring their identities, assumes monolithic trans experiences that does not reflect the experiences of all trans people, and creates undue restrictions on access to transgender-related care for everyone, including dysphoric trans people. Contrary to popular belief, many transmedicalists accept non-binary people as long as they experience dysphoria.

Transmedicalism is broadly defined as the belief that being transgender is contingent upon experiencing gender dysphoria or undergoing medical treatment in transitioning. We are also not against GNC trans people; trans people who don't conform to the stereotypes of their neurological sex. We just tend to be skeptical of those who make absolutely no effort to pass, only to screech about being misgendered. The fact is, if you dress and look like a woman, you will be gendered as one. This is harmful to transsexuals, for whom medical treatment is necessary to survive, as having some sort of medical diagnosis for what we're dealing with is the only way to argue in favour of compelling insurance companies to pay for transition costs. This kind of classism would make it so only the more well off transsexuals could ever afford to transition. Mainly older rich white people. We are assumed to prefer the transgender label because it's what the rest of the community prefers; it's treated as the default, when many of us want to be as far away from that label as possible, preferring transsexual specifically for it's undeniably medical roots. The rest of the community co-opts our struggles and the science that validates our existence, but as soon as we voice out own concerns over the threat to access to medical treatment that would surely follow demedicalisation, we're silenced. There's also and issue of the language and slogans promoted by the transgender community. Sayings such as "some women have penises" and "some men have vaginas" only serve to trigger dysphoria in those of us who do not want to be reminded of those aspects of our anatomy. Body positivity and self acceptance, while great concepts on their own, will not cure dysphoria, and along with so-called "inclusive language," can even trigger it, making "trans safe spaces" unsafe for transsexuals. Critics of transmedicalism argue that the belief pathologizes having a transgender identity, does not reflect the experiences of all trans people, and creates undue restrictions on access to transgender-related care.
It's the truscums' fault that people are detransitioning, r truscum. It marginalizes a significant number of trans folks who cannot access or do not want to medically transition.
When ever people talk about Einstein's brilliance and genius in this way this is part of me that feels like sand has gotten trapped inside of me. Because they all seem to be so willing to ignore that Einstein was Jewish. And that matters. Einstein did not get to where he got easily. He had to face antisemitism including academic antisemitism.
YouTuber Natalie "Contrapoints" Wynn is currently embroiled in a wave of dissent and harassment after her newest video featured Buck Angel, a controversial figure in the transgender and nonbinary community. By featuring Angel, some online have accused Wynn of enabling his exclusionary ideology, going so far as to label her as a "truscum" or "transmedicalist," which are people who believe gender transitioning through medical means is the only way to be considered transgender. Since I'm out of Twitter jail now, I just want to say fuck Contrapoints, her sycophantic stans, and all her 'breadtube' chums who close ranks to protect her after she throws the rest of the trans community under the bus for profit. Contrapoints: i did a big fucky wucky after that truscum shit I said! Fuck it, I gotta scream a tad Contrapoints is very clearly truscum at this point. If you allow Buck Angel of all people in your video and you are a member of this community, you know what the hell you are doing. There's no way she didn't know about his opinions beforehand. In "Opulence" , Wynn, one of the largest left-wing video essayists and transgender activists on the platform" discusses society's obsession with class, wealth and power while she is draped in in jewels, dressed in a gown or lying on a couch in front of a Grecian statue. Wynn uses quotes and has them read by famous people in the YouTube transgender community, like Buck Angel, who read an adage from John Waters.
