Rena Nakano , their mother, passed away 5 years prior to the beginning of the main story [6] and Maruo Nakano the Quintuplets' stepfather lives in a different residence. The Nakano Quintuplets lived on the 30th floor of a luxurious apartment, [8] [9] purchased by their father Maruo Nakano. They live together with no one else in their apartments. The Quintuplets later move to a small apartment on the second floor of their own will.

That same day, he is presented with a golden opportunity to clear his family's debt: a private tutoring gig for a wealthy family's daughter, with a wage of five times the market price. He accepts the proposal, but is horrified to discover that the client, Itsuki Nakano, is the girl he confronted earlier!
