Rathian has a fair amount more raw, but builds the poison slower. It has affinity critical hit chance. It also is a forge point for stuff later in the tree. Work on the one you prefer. Rathian is probably better for general exploring because you'll have more raw damage for when poison is ineffective. Does anyone know if Capcom changed the poison mechanic?
