Imagine having three items in front of you, a wooden magazine holder, a pack of straws, and a set of 6 clear orb ornaments. Cue the MacGyver theme music! To start, I spray painted the rack and 5 straws with black paint. Then, I used floral wire to thread a few of the straws to make a guard rail for the bottom rack ornament bud vases. The straw guard rail is definitely needed to hold the ornaments upward and prevent them from rolling off the mantel. Just tie the ends of the wire to each side of the magazine rack. The rack was looking too dark, so I added some left over stud trim on each side. For now, I love the bits on the side for a nice touch of gold. Finish by adding one ornament with the hanging wire removed to each slot of the magazine rack and add a couple more on the bottom shelf. I placed some fresh greenery and roses from my garden.

See how pretty the light is, shining through the bulb?
