Like every Malayalee, this is one of my all-time favorite Kerala delicacies! Kerala, my hometown is quite famous for its natural beauty, greenery, backwaters… and also for its food!! As mentioned in my previous posts, its culinary is known for its vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes alike, poth fry, but the sea food and beef recipes stand out, both among the natives and the tourists who visit the state. Perhaps, Kerala is among the very few places in India poth fry you can eat beef without any fear or inhibition, in many delicious varieties, and available everywhere, poth fry, be it a roadside stall or a luxury hotel!!
Add all ingredients from ginger garlic paste to salt into washed cleaned and drained meat. Squeeze in the masala perfectly onto the meat. Marinate for 20 minutes. Heat oil in a wok add curry leaves, sliced onion, coconut pieces,sliced ginger, garlic and saute for few minutes until it becomes slightly golden. Add in the turmeric, chilly and coriander powder and saute for a while. Pour the stock from cooked meat and mix everything well. Add enough amount of salt and allow to simmer and then add cooked meat pieces.
