PossAbilities provides socialization, possabilities jobs, recreation, possabilities jobs skill building and employment on-site and in the community using a person-centered approach for individuals with developmental disabilities from ages two through retirement in Olmsted County. We create opportunities to contribute to and connect with the community.

PossAbilities works across the Borough of Rochdale and does not have any postcode restrictions. We work with adults between the ages of 65, who have a diagnosed mental health condition, a learning disability or a physical or sensory impairment. We also work with those people who do not fit neatly into any service, but without our support would not be able to find or keep a job. This may include those people with autistic spectrum disorders, aspergers syndrome, attention deficit disorder or severe dyslexia. Clients will be ready for employment at different times.

Our participants are matched with hands-on training and social opportunities that help build the skills, confidence and resume necessary to become gainfully employed in the community. In addition, participants have the opportunity to earn certifications in areas such as food safety, first aid, and childcare. Our goal is to provide family resources, support, and training to build confidence and skills, including self-advocacy.
