View Staff Posts Post Reply. In testing both in Standard and in Crucible, a character with Frost Blades and an amulet anointed with Vengeant Cascade is able to attack a single enemy, causing the projectiles to fly out from behind them, however they do return unless they hit another enemy or hit the environment. A projectile which flies out uninterrupted to the maximum projectile range will return instead of just stopping there. If this is actually working as intended currently, then I guess this is safe to ignore, but wanted to get clarification if this is a bug or not. Posted by runt9 on Apr 9, , AM. Quote this Post.

It also has to actually HIT another enemy in order to return - and of course that enemy only gets poe vengeant cascade once - so it won't return after some max distance or hitting a wall. Posted by runt9 on Apr 9,AM.

I know pierce is useless since it would fly off random direction, but wouldnt having chain work? So basically Vengeant Cascade is finally not just a questionable clearspeed tool - it might actually significantly boost your damage as well now. It'll create explosions both on passing through the enemy AND on returning to hit them again, further multiplying your damage. Last edited by badnewz10 on Nov 27, , PM. So here you go. I didn't realize Frost Blades projectiles actually faded like something like Freezing Pulse does, so I guess this isn't a bug.

Yeah this appears to be the case. Bad news for you, this is intended. A projectile which flies out uninterrupted to the maximum projectile range will return instead of just stopping there. So how to double your hits on mobs, including bosses? If you cant afford to use this for your annointment, also a scourge result. I know pierce is useless. The small projectiles don't do anything without having modifier chain , pierce , fork so it's amazing for tornado shot. Posted by bububu on Nov 16, , PM. Posted by trixxar on Nov 27, , PM.
