So how did these clubs perform?

The Ping G15 Irons are certainly a case of evolution not revolution and Ping have not forgotten the traits that made the G10 irons so appealing to so many people. We liked the G10 irons and we were hopeful that the G15 irons would be even better. In our tests the G15 irons were a delight to hit. They were very forgiving right across the face and the full cavity graphics badge did its job in enhancing the feel and sound of the club at impact. For mid to high handicappers these clubs are ideal and are available in sets from 3 iron through to sand wedge. I borrowed my father's G 15 orange dot graphite soft regular shaft irons today.

Every year it seems like one company after another hypes up the release of their new driver yet to the point almost no one even listens anymore. Because every year so many of them fall short of their promises and claims. Of course every company is going to try and hype their product…we get it…that is what sells clubs. But we are out to have the most informed golf blog on the planet. So…if it is good we will tell you it is good and if it is bad we will tell you just how bad it really is. And that brings us to our Ping G15 review today…and is another reason why I talked about hype. You rarely hear it coming from this company. But year in and year out after all is said and done and all the hype from the all the other companies has died down…if you start asking guys what feels the best and what driver they have liked the most…a Ping driver is almost always in the conversation. Now in regards to looks they are not my cup of tea…the graphics always seem to be way out in left field compared to the rest of the industry…but hey it has worked for them. Even though we were not big fans of the graphics, the Ping G15 did have some improvements over some of the their past driver designs. For one thing they got rid of the half-moon crescent thingamagig on the crown which was good to see. The other difference you will notice is in the shape of the head. It has a less traditional pear shape and more of a triangular look to the head at address. This has increased the MOI over past designs and helped to improve those off center hits.

There is an immediately noticeable improvement in both feel and forgiveness and they are easy to hit through the set. Putters Feb 29, ping g15,

With a club as easy to hit as the G15 hybrid, why fight a difficult long iron? The new G15 hybrid offers great distance, incredible forgiveness, and loads of versatility in a new package. PING has been a major innovator in the industry for quite a while. Up until this point, my experience with PING clubs had been limited to their drivers and putters. Though I never pulled the trigger on it, the Rapture V2 was in my opinion one of the best drivers I had ever hit.

Payment will be collected in full upon placement of order. So easy to replace and a perfect replacement. I didn't realize how much I missed having this club in my bag. Finding replacement irons on an older set is never easy. Morton works directly with ping to get brand new old stock clubs. It was always difficult to find individual irons for my older set online.

If the G10 provides maximum forgiveness then what do you call an iron that provides even more forgiveness? PING calls it the G For me, I imagine the silky smooth feel of the sweet spot. I visualize the ball curving through the air at will. I can almost see the ball falling to the green with just enough spin to bounce twice and then stop.

Although that is not the reason MyGolfSpy does not list the results. Most Popular 1. If you feel you have great irons then you can hit great shots which these do for me. For someone that has not played a PING iron in quite a while, setting up to the G15s can be quite a shock to the system. I just wanted to say that as a golfer on a budget, this was right in my price range. But I do think these pings can help the indians. Thanks for your help. Good strikes with the G15 irons are rewarded with a soaring ball flight and ample distance, off center strikes are also rewarded with a minimal drop off in distance, in fact I've looked at my club several times expecting a mark in the center of the face, only to find it towards the toe or heel! DJ Owen 14 years ago. Overall, traditional or classic were never words that entered my head but the combination of the new color scheme and Custom Tuning Port make the club quite striking and a huge improvement over the G

The PING G15 irons are ideal for anyone looking for top-quality game-improving irons that will aid their progression. The large heads produce a penetrating flight, particularly compared with many game-improvement irons, which tend to hit the ball very high, but lose distance. While the thick sole undoubtedly helps get the ball up and away, we found that this made them quite hard to hit from tight lies.

Any advice? Getting proper launch angles and spin rates for any driver you play outweighs the importance of the head 10 fold. It just seems to be one of those drivers that takes more time to catch on because it really is a word of mouth type of success with their drivers. They look and feel good and give you confidence to hit your shots. Well just like early comment about when bigger heads began to come out they were looked down upon…but in time you will see that it is the preferred technology. Firstly let me say one thing, ignore what you might read about the way these irons look, once you've hit them the looks will be the last thing on your mind! Whether I was at the range or on the course, these clubs behaved the exact same way which was a good thing. Very forgiving with high launches. The Aldila Serrano was a nice surprise. And it is just a matter of time before you become the lunchtime hotspot.
