In my own experience, I have come across people wanting me to take the pup before it was ready, people telling me that because a dog was a mix between 3 different breeds that it is worth more and one wanted to meet in a car park and not meet mum etc. I think there are some genuine people who need to sell a puppy because their bitch has accidentally gotten pregnant, but you really need to tread carefully.
