Hey guys, I know this probably comes up a lot, but I wanted pathfinder clustered shots just straight ask the community what their opinion on Clustered Shots is, pathfinder clustered shots, and what, if anything, should be done to fix it. We've recently come to notice the power of Clustered Shots and archers in general in our JR campaign, pathfinder clustered shots, in which the archer routinely kills the boss monster in a single round of combat. And while we can't point to a single element that makes her overpowered, we've noticed that Clustered Shots tends to makes a nonsense of the only weakness the archer has or had, rather - damage reduction. Caveat: Yes, we know about Storm Spire, we've gotten past that part.

I think instead, as it's a feat for martial characters, we should make it a 15th level feat. While we're at it, we can give it about three more feat prerequisites, a very high Strength requirement, and we should cap the amount of damage reduction it pierces through. Re: [PF] Clustered shots It doesn't pierce through damage reduction at all though DR still affects the damage, it just reduces the total damage dealt, rather than the damage of each arrow individually. If both hit that's an average of about 50 damage, or 40 against DR 5 because the DR does apply to each swing.

I have to assume to, since it's supposed to result in 1 large damage roll rather than 3 separate rolls.

There are numerous variations of pathfinder, but its most straightforward form involves finding a list of words on a path through a wordsearch-style grid. The puzzle can be made more challenging by omitting the list, but only if the theme and its examples are suitable. A trail of American states would be easy enough to find, whether listed or not. An unlisted trail of American towns and cities would only be reasonable if restricted to high-profile places. In a more general theme, such as Christmas, solvers won't necessarily know the exact form of the words they're seeking. A certain amount of ambiguity may enhance the puzzle, but inconsistency will spoil it. The position of words on the path is also important.

But I have seen multiple party archers and there's a reason why whenever they do a full attack I suddenly have to imagine a missile platform firing dozens of high-impact warheads. In many combat encounters, melee combatants take a lot more risks triggering traps, suffering HP abrasion, being the target of save effects than do ranged combatants.
