Summary Oz Bezarius is heir to one of the Duke Houses and lives a carefree life in the country. That is until his 15th birthday when he is attacked and cast into an alternate dimension known as the "Abyss".

As Break wakes from his fainting spell, he tells Duke Barma, Oz and the others about his time in Abyss. In the Will of the Abyss's room, Vincent shows up along with Gilbert in his arms. After Vincent collapses, Will of the Abyss starts yelling at him about how he should be dead, then starts to cry. She looks at Break and asks who he is, then screams that it is teatime. She says she can't wait for her playdate with Jack, and Vincent tells her that Jack is dead.

The central character is Oz , standing in center-frame. He is dressed as he is by the end of the story, the all-black outfit along with a red Baskerville cloak hanging around his shoulders. Oz is in the middle of motion, wielding his scythe in his hands and swinging it behind his right shoulder, preparing to slash downwards. Countless chains colored red crisscross in the air behind him, summoned in place by his powers, the shadows of a pair of thick black chains surround him on either side, and tiny fragments of shattered lights float around like snow. Oz's eyes are a bright red. In the background behind him is the black-and-white silhouette of a black rabbit doll steadily disintegrating into ash. This question is posed to Oz Vessalius once more. After overcoming the chains of infinite despair that bind him, the answer at which he arrives becomes a blinding light, piercing through the jet-black darkness. As though hope can be spun out of the emotions of a person's heart Standing in center-frame is a large chair upholstered with red velvet, the gold framing decorated with intricate details such as wings framing either side of the backrest and Pandora 's sigil at the very top. Two dark red chains hang decoratively on each corner of the chair's backrest. Sitting upon the seat of the chair is a black rabbit doll. Duke Barma urges Break to continue where he left off, but Oz is uncertain whether it would be good for Break to continue.
