This is a part of the Elf Quest Series and is famous because of the challenges that it beholds upon the players trying to complete it. In this quest, you have to go deep under the mountains of Arandar to put an end to the evil bestowed there. Upon succeeding, you are tasked to solve one of the most difficult puzzles known to mankind. To start this quest, you must first speak to Arianwyn, who is located in Lletya. Once you reach, speak to Essyllt and he will provide you with a key to gain access to the nearby tunnels, leading straight into the Temple of Light. He will task you to find the digging team, so leave the room and open the door to your west.

This quest is often described as challenging by players who have completed it due to it having, arguably, the most difficult quest puzzle in the game. If our hero is to succeed, they must solve one of the most complicated puzzles in all of Gielinor. Begin by speaking to Arianwyn in Lletya. He will tell you to go and stop the mourners from excavating under West Ardougne , and that you need a key from the head mourner to enter the excavation site. Bring a teleport crystal , and some food if you have low Defence or do not have 43 Prayer for Protect from Melee. Also, bring along a chisel. Go to the basement of the Mourner HQ in Ardougne, and talk to the head mourner. He will give you a new key to the nearby tunnels that they dug to the Temple of Light. He will ask you to find the digging team, a group of slaves and mourners that have high enough Slayer skills to defeat the beasts in the area. Leave the head mourner's room and open the door on the west wall. Go into the tunnel. You will see level Dark beasts. The beasts require a Slayer level of 90 in order to be harmed, and use both melee and magic - however, they only use melee unless you cannot reach them or attack them first.

Report that they are seeking access to an old temple, to which Arianwyn shockingly realises that they have rediscovered the Temple of Light and that you need to stop them at all costs.
