She would later marry W'Kabi, the head of security, and have children with him. The two saved the hostages while T'Challa, donning the panther habit, distracted the mercenaries. She ended up confronting Scott, and battled him until he and Zanda escaped. Okoye and T'Challa followed them as the police stormed the building, and followed the two terrorists to a yacht. The two managed to defeat the two, and upon returning to Wakanda, Okoye told T'Chaka that T'Challa proved himself on the field.
