When starting the game, you choose your protagonist, a character who will be the one consistent in your otherwise flexible party formation. After completing the first chapter of your starting character, you can then begin to explore the world and meet up with the other characters which can be located on the map at many of the main cities and towns, and help them begin the first chapter of their own story. Upon completing another character's introductory chapter, you will be able to follow whichever of the 8 stories you'd like to in the journal, following each person's journey across Osterra. In addition to the story being separated into the 8 characters, each has it's own chapters as well. Below you will find information on each of the character's main story chapters. The starting Chapter 1 begins in each character's main town, while others will often take place far away on the other side of the map, and require much more experience, making it worth your while to recruit the other characters along the way. Ophilia's story begins in the Northeastern Frostlands , in the town of Flamegrace. Cyrus' Story begins in the Northeastern Flatlands , in the town of Atlasdam.
