I believe i have an answer to why Nightmare Mangle and the Puppet are not canon in the halloween edition. I believe their not considered canon for seperate reasons though so let's go over the crying childs basic rules as for what creates the nightmare animatronics. The crying child has had to have seen each animatronic individually. The crying child has to have had a traumatizing experience with an animatronic. And 3. The crying child has to become afraid of an animatronic. Right then lets get started. Freddy and gang. We know that the crying child obviously knows the gang through his plushies, cartoons, and because of his brother's haressments. But the crying child may have even seen Freddy and his friends at another Freddy Fazbears pizzaria, why?

Nightmare Freddy is a mutated and heavily damaged bear animatronic. His fur is torn in many areas, leaving exposed metal and parts of his skeleton out in the open. On top of this, Nightmare Freddy also has multiple miniature heads growing from various tears on his body, creating quite a monstrous appearance. Nightmare Bonnie is a heavily damaged blue bunny animatronic with dulled and damaged fur, jagged teeth, and haunting eyes; all complete with his little red bow tie. Nightmare Bonnie is also lacking fur on several of his limbs and joints, creating a rather disturbing appearance. Nightmare Chica is a terrifying and heavily damaged animatronic, carrying the same nightmarish features as the other characters, such as sharp, jagged teeth, long claws, and dark, sunken eye sockets with creepy glowing pupils.
