The source of the liquid is a mystery, but keen-eyed enthusiasts may be able to decipher the clues on the bottle. The year-old expression has been matured in a mixture of refill ex-bourbon and virgin American oak casks, creating lots of malty biscuit and vanilla notes that mingle wonderfully with the pungent smoke of the base spirit. This is matured in a combination of bourbon barrels and Olorosso sherry casks. On the palate it is so smooth, great amounts of complex fruits, dry sherry, subtle cinnamon spices with a chocolate coated finish. We have recently worked with a number of distilleries to release a series of whiskies that mark our th anniversary, including Daftmill, Bimber, Ardnamurchan and….
