Musescore repeat measure

I would like to use multi measure 2 and 4 bar phrases repeat signs for my drum part, musescore repeat measure, to make musescore repeat measure easy to read. The only solution I have seen is a 10 step process eliminating bar lines, making symbols invisible, etc. Is there some quick and easy solution to this? There is no direct support, but it's shouldn't take 10 steps either - just add the appropriate symbol from the Symbols palette and move it into position directly over the barline.

Can there be a better way of putting numbers over bars with repeat symbols. It is most common in drum parts, but is needed in other parts too. Note: these are not measure numbers. At present the only way I've seen to do this is to select a single repeat symbol, and add either staff text or a symbol from the master palette to it, and repeat this for each repeat mark in the sequence. Using staff text puts the number by default near the start of the measure instead of centered over it, so I have to select them all and change the horizontal offset. A symbol from the master palette is over the repeat mark by default, but it's hard to add multiple symbols to make larger numbers eg: '12'. It would be good if the number could be made a property of the repeat measure. It would be even better if the numeric sequence could be done automatically just by ticking a 'number the repeats' property. The number would always start at 2 in the first repeat-measure after a measure with actual notes in it, which is the notional 1.
