Greetings Steemians, today I'd like to share one of my original characters that has been a longtime favorite at the gaming table. This character has evolved much over the years, and now I'm updating him for our current game sessions. Say hello to Mongo the Bard! I've always enjoyed characters who "break the mold", and this is no exception. As always, I begin by plugging in my Huion Graphics Tablet and cranking up Autodesk Sketchbook, and start building the figure. Here is where I think about the shape and form of the character. In this case, I'm going for a figure that is tall and a little heavyset.

Mungo McMungo also known as Marcel in Les Entrechats , usually referred to as Mungo , is a member of the Catillac Cats who is known for not being the brightest member, although his heart is usually in the right place. Although Mungo isn't known for being the "sharpest tool in the shed", he is known for surprising his friends with his unexpected potential and actions, an example being how capable he was at fighting the dogs in the episode Kitty Kat Kennels. He has a tendency to be a big-hearted, friendly, kind, inventive, and loyal member of the gang. He has even shown self-sacrifice to save Cleo from falling off a building in the episode Cat Balloon. Even so, he alongside Hector and Wordsworth has taken revenge to another level on Heathcliff , as shown in the episode An Officer and an Alley Cat , when Hector told him to give Heathcliff the welcome wagon by throwing trash cans at Heathcliff. In the episode Heathcliff Reforms , they didn't share any fish with Heathcliff though Heathcliff might have stolen all of them , and later helped take advantage of making Heathcliff a slave after the trio spooked him into reforming. However he did it mainly under Hector's leadership and still agreed to carry Heathcliff home. In the episode Soap Box Derby , he along with Hector and Wordsworth dismantled Heathcliff's race car, but did not seem aware he what he did was wrong as the day of the race he was realizing Heathcliff's car was coming apart. Also, in the episode Raiders of the Lost Cat , he did not bother to interfere with Heathcliff's party and kindly delivered Sonja 's invitation until Hector insisted. So he mainly does these bad things under bad influence of Hector and Wordsworth. Like Hector and Wordsworth he is still friends with Heathcliff as they care about him as he does about them. Another feature Mungo displays is strength. In various episodes, he can pick up the end of a car with ease, as well as an inventive side. This can be seen in the episode The Cat in the Iron Mask when he builds a giant junk statue that doubles as a robot fights some underhanded businessmen who were trying to wreck the junkyard. Even so, he still does not possess the fighting skills to take on Heathcliff or Riff-Raff will obey them weather it be fear or friendship and is timid even under Hector.
