Mister Terrific real name Michael Holt is a brilliant inventor and businessman and a founding member of the Terrifics. Michael was known as a prodigy at an early age.

The original Golden Age hero, Terry Sloane , was a millionaire with a photographic memory and athletic skills who became the superhero after rescuing a woman from suicide. He was killed in a story.
