The majority of the humans in the universe of My Hero Academia have supernatural talents called Quirks that mha scary upon them extraordinary capabilities. Heroes and villains alike have a wide variety of Quirks that may be anything from ordinary to amazing. Certain Quirks, especially when used by bad people, mha scary, stand out as particularly scary.

Since My Hero Academia is a show based around superheroes, it makes sense that a lot of the characters are very upbeat and optimistic individuals who are willing to use their own personal Quirks for the betterment of society. Still, since so much of the population has a Quirk in the My Hero universe, it's inevitable that a few people would still decide to use them for more sinister and evil purposes. While a character's dark outlook on the world can come from their own Quirk and how it has affected their life, there are others who simply view the idea of a "hero society" from a different perspective, and will go to extremes to adjust it to their liking. This has led to some extremely violent, malicious, and dark characters appearing in the series, and these are the worst of them all. Dabi is essentially the other side of the coin to Todoroki. While his younger brother decided to become confident in his own abilities after the horrible abuse he faced from his father Endeavor, Dabi instead took a much more cynical outlook on the world and decided to join the League of Villains after experiencing a mental breakdown.

In the world of My Hero Academia , most of the population has supernatural abilities called Quirks that give people special powers. They range from mundane to spectacular, and there's an immense array of Quirks across both the heroes and the villains. However, some Quirks stand out as downright terrifying, especially these Quirks are wielded by villains. While they aren't necessarily the most dangerous Quirks, some Quirks are the most horrifying, scary Quirks to face in battle, whether it be their macabre nature or their potential to harm others. In this way, these Quirks can cause an even more visceral fearful reaction when dealing with them. Moonfish appeared as part of the League of Villains' Vanguard Action Squad and was notable for his tooth-powered Quirk. Called Blade-Tooth, this Quirk transformed his teeth into horrifying blades that could extend to impossible lengths. He used his ability both to aid his own mobility and attack his opponents, making him a fearsome enemy and one of the stronger members of the squad. While his Quirk on its own was terrifying enough, it was only aided by his cannibalistic personality that was obsessed with human flesh. Blade-Tooth was a frightful ability that was difficult for even Todoroki and Bakugo to go up against. Shigaraki has been a strong enemy since his introduction during the USJ incident. His Quirk, Decay, allows him to destroy things by turning it to dust. While this Quirk originally started as only being able to spread through things Shigaraki had directly touched, it has mutated into a scary ability that can even spread across and through the things he disintegrates.

In an anime about heroes, it is only natural that there are countless villains introduced mha scary them to fight. Toga is one of the primary villains from the League of Villains, and has been a constant thorn in the heroes' sides since she was introduced. His Quirk lets him buff up his muscles, mha scary, essentially using them both as armor and as a way to boost the power of his attacks.

My Hero Academia already has some of the most terrifying villains in Shonen manga, but it is using one neat trick to make these antagonists even more terrifying, giving Toga a new look straight out of a nightmare. It is unsurprising that mangaka Kohei Horikoshi is able to increase the fear factor on these characters even further given how much prowess he has shown for drawing panels straight out of a horror manga in the past, but now he is taking these frightening panels a step further by representing the terror caused by this villains metaphorically. The manga represents this metaphorically in a panel of a child version of Ochako confronting a twisted and monstrous form of Himiko holding a knife over the girl's head. Himiko is already horrifying enough at this point in the fight, covered in blood and baring her fangs for all to see, but this imaginary version makes her much more terrifying, with her face pulled back in a rictus grin and her muscles exposed and stretching her form unnaturally. It inspires a terror that a literal shot of the villain couldn't, which is what makes this panel so powerful.

My Hero Academia is one of the most popular and beloved shonen anime around right now. The exploits of Midoriya and the rest of the Class 1-A heroes as they learn to master their powers and become more powerful in the process are always entertaining, with the show taking viewers through a rollercoaster ride that is full to the brim with thrills and scares. That being said, the lighthearted nature of this shonen anime doesn't excuse it from touching on some rather dark themes at times. This is especially apparent when it comes to the diabolical and despicable villains in the series, but this applies to some events surrounding the heroes as well. Keeping this in mind, here are some of the most disturbing events to ever occur during My Hero Academia 's run. Nighteye was one of the interesting characters who was introduced during the Overhaul arc. However, he never managed to make it out of the last battle and died a rather horrific death. The fact that Overhaul sent an entire spike through his body was enough to seal his gate. It was a horrifying image that sealed Nighteye's fate for good.

Plus, Shigaraki being the secondary leader of the League of Villains only adds to its ominous nature. Although some heroes in My Hero Academia like Endeavor have also done horrible deeds that can make them somewhat horrifying, this list will be focusing only on the characters who are deemed a villain by My Hero Academia 's society. Fearsome as this quirk is, Deku was able to prevail against it and the rest of the heroes. Transform, her Quirk, gives her power to modify her looks such that she takes on the look of anyone whose blood she has recently ingested. While Nighteye's Quirk isn't as flashy or visibly scary as other Quirks, it is a Quirk that's still frightening to many — and probably even Nighteye himself. This implies she can even murder someone by rewinding their body to the time before they were born. He used his ability both to aid his own mobility and attack his opponents, making him a fearsome enemy and one of the stronger members of the squad. Her Quirk, Transform, allows her to manipulate her appearance to resemble somebody else after consuming their blood. Shigaraki has been a strong enemy since his introduction during the USJ incident. Horikoshi would be an incredibly good Horror mangaka based on My Hero Academia 's grotesque designs and horrifying characters. Still, it remains one of the more fearful Quirks that fans have seen. It allowed him to operate from multiple angles, from predicting battle strategies to even seeing how someone dies. In a series such as My Hero Academia where there will always be heroes to fight and repel villains and other forces of evil, it is only inevitable that there is going to be plenty of suspense and tension, in order to properly sell the threat that the antagonists pose. All For One's quirk, All For One, allows him to steal other people's Quirks, and either keep them for himself or gift them to other people.

My Hero Academia has seen a Dabi who has burned his body further than ever before, and as he prepares for his ultimate end the cliffhanger of the newest chapter has unveiled his horrific final look for the series. Ever since he first joined Shigaraki's side on the League of Villains, Dabi has been one of the most intriguing characters in Kohei Horikoshi's original manga series.

The whole situation, from the creepy music to the scary animation, really ramped up the tension and made this one of the most terrifying moments that didn't involve an all-out fight. All Might may be a symbol of justice within the world of My Hero Academia , but All For One is the exact opposite, being a man who literally wants nothing more than to crush the future of humanity, envisioning himself as a "Demon Lord" which is inspired by his childhood comics. This Quirk began off simply spreading via objects Shigaraki had personally touched, but it has now developed into a terrifying power that can travel over and through stuff he decomposes. Because Himiko isn't normally portrayed as a nightmarish monster, the panel showing her as such is incredibly shocking. His original Quirk was merely Decay, which let him completely destroy anything he touched. As a result, interacting with people who have these Quirks might elicit a far more primal, instinctual feeling of terror. Dabi is essentially the other side of the coin to Todoroki. This means she even has the ability to rewind someone's body to before they existed, essentially killing them. She therefore decided to take on the mantra of killing everything she despises, especially those who don't want to form a friendship with her. But regardless of where it originates from, the fact remains that My Hero Academia 's villains are some of the scariest around. To make things even more grim, the hands he uses to cover his body and face are actually taken from the corpses of his family as a haunting reminder of how destructive Quirks can really be.
