I have high expectations every time I visit a restaurant for the first time. I want a reason to come back, mexican food kutztown, something that sets it apart from the hundreds of other restaurants in Berks County. La Cocina Mexicana has been a staple in downtown Kutztown as long as I can remember.

I am a regular at La Cocina Mexicana and want to share my experiences. La Cocina Mexicana is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the state. All food is prepared from fresh ingredients. They will gladly cater to special needs such as vegetarian or lactose-free. They have an extensive menu with very reasonable prices. The decor is festive authentic Mexican to match the authentic Mexican food. I am on a low-fat diet, so I order veggie or chicken entrees without cheese or sour cream.

The food is delicious, the meat is fresh, I love the pambazos there, the people are very friendly, they make the food, authentic Mexican, one day I got to see how the lady made the mole, delicious. I had the elote, the shrimp quesadilla, and a cup of horchata and it was all very good. And the staff were all very friendly and casual in a good way. Parking: No street parking, and I think the lot behind the restaurant is private. Kid-friendliness: They had Sesame Street playing on the TV when I came in, and the kids menu is limited but definitely sounds tasty. And yet, I The smell, the taste, and the service all on point.
