I don't know about your experiences, but for me, I find woodland creatures are generally pretty cautious like that around humans. So unless you're Snow White it makes sense. Come on, it's not that big of a stretch. If you don't like my rationale just focus on Melffy Mommy. While you can field all the Melffy monsters you want from your hand during your End Phase, the passivity of the Melffy monsters puts you in a unique position. Typically, both aggressive and defensive themes play out monsters in the Main Phase so you can do something with the cards you're summoning, but Melffy play to their own weird strengths.

Thanks to the spright engine for boosting the deck consistency. Before sprights, getting a negate on rescue cat or obedience is a huge hit. What sets this deck apart from the other spright variants is we end on melffy puppy aside from the spright monsters. Puppy can return to hand when opponent summon monsters.
