Roxanne is an anthropomorphic female dog and the tritagonist of Disney 's animated film A Goofy Movie , where she served as the love interest to Max Goof. Roxanne is a student from Max's high school. She is very beautiful, popular, kind, and friendly, as well as forgiving as shown in the end. Roxanne is best friends with Stacey , the student body president. The film reveals that Max has had a crush on her for quite some time prior to the film's events, though he believes she hasn't noticed him because of him being fabulously unpopular. In reality, Roxanne is shown to have a shared crush on Max as well, but is rather shy about it. After Max had fallen from the school's bleachers, Roxanne ran over to him, helped him up, and started giggling nervously when he began to stutter nervously at her. When he ran off in embarrassment of his goofy "Ah-hyuck! Later, during Max's performance at the school assembly, Roxanne is revealed to be both ecstatic and flattered by the special attention Max gives to her. When his identity is revealed before the entire school by an annoyed Principal Mazur, she gives a satisfied smile, happy that the unknown performer singer directly to her was the very same boy that she already liked. While in the principal's office, she stares and smiles at him longingly, but is nervous when Stacey motivates her to talk to him. When Max finally gets to the courage to ask her out, she awkwardly and somewhat nervously accepts his offer, and is completely dejected when he later has to cancel their date. Though, she moves past it when Max convinces her—through a lie—that his reasons for canceling their date are impressive enough. When he later tells the truth and apologizes for lying, he explains that wanted her to like him. Roxanne admits that she had already liked Max, and forgives his lie as she believes it was in the right place.

In the film Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangershe makes a cameo appearance in his max goof girlfriend Goof Troop look during the credits scene. By the end of the film, when the two arrive back home, Max reveals to Roxanne that he lied, admitting that he just wanted her to like him. Episode 5.

Maximilian "Max" Goof is the son of Goofy. He first appeared in the short Fathers Are People , as Goofy Junior , and remained a regular in subsequent Goofy shorts of that era. Since then, Max has appeared in several features, usually alongside Goofy. Max is unique in that he is Goofy's son, as opposed to a nephew akin to Huey, Dewey, and Louie 's relationship with Donald , as well as a plethora of famous cartoon characters, Disney or otherwise. Some Goofy cartoons during his Everyman years depicted Goofy as being a father to a red-nosed Goofy Junior. Many fans believe that this character served as the inspiration for Max. One notable aspect is that Max has appreciatively aged, in a fashion, during the course of his appearances, which is uncommon among most characters in the Mickey Mouse franchise. The reason for these age changes are not clear this could be for the sake of character development for him and his father. The identity of his mother is also a mystery.

By the time Sophomore year started in Early September , news spread quickly through the school that her and Max were dating and they became the center of attention for the next couple of months and then they became less so the center of attention but still remained popular with many new friends.
