By Codie Bullen For Mailonline. Four talented chefs - Terri, Chariya, Anurag and Omar - faced several tough challenges to showcase their greatest culinary skills during Wednesday night's semi-final.

The semi-finals of Celebrity MasterChef have kicked off, and the first star has been sent home. The celebs were taken to County Durham, which is home to the Beamish Museum, and were tasked to make a feast for the staff and volunteers there. In the first of the semi-finals, the celebrities were tested once more on their teamwork. Cooking in tents and faced with unfamiliar equipment, the contenders were split into two teams. It was a race against the clock as the two teams endeavoured to design and create four mouth-watering dishes each in just two-and-a-half hours.
