We've seen so many other nations and villages in the fillers, films, video games, OVAs, etc. Despite what you think of the non-canon content of Naruto, you can't deny that it makes the world seem a lot bigger. In any fictional medium, I love world building. There has not been any official image of a complete Naruto world map, but I've seen a few fan made ones, but my favorite is the first image displayed.
