Just how does a woman who divides her time between her family and the sleepy inmates of an old age home, suddenly become equipped to take on complicit cops, a dodgy businessman Prashant Narayanan , a hard-eyed female gangster Raima Sen , and brutal baddies, without turning a hair? Where does this ease come from? But, and this is where I found myself admiring the dexterity with which the creator, Atul Mongia, and the writers Mongia, Tamal Sen, Amita Vyas coax us along, even when there seems to be something missing from crucial characters. Who is this guy? Why is he the way he is? His attitude has a lot to do with the way Sheel responds to things, but it remains a mystery. Still, the two of them are able to convince us that they are a unit, have raised a child Wamiqa Gabbi, eloquently using sign language, very effective with challenges, and have worked their way around their own challenges. As a cop hot on the heels of the bad guys, Ankur Ratan leaves an impression. But Seema Pahwa needed to have been given more to do: for an actor who so effortlessly commands the screen, her part is really sketchy. Despite the elements that stretch our credulity, here she manages to hold our attention. Tell, tell.

I personally think that line wasn't drawn - the show is good but could have been great - but that doesn't stop me from asking you to watch this show for Sakshi's stellar performance. The series is really well-written. Sucked into a rabbit hole of violence and power, she finds herself entangled with white-collar crime and dirty politics that forever changes her and the world she inhabits. What a fantastic performance by Sakshi!! I am giving 9 stars because of some loopholes in the series.
