Maha Samudram is a film that has created a lot of hype for itself in the last few days. Vijay has a girlfriend called Maha Aditi Rao and is on the lookout for easy money. After a tragic turnaround of events involving an underworld don, he runs away from Vizag leaving his pregnant lover Maha Aditi Rao and Arjun in deep problems. Arjun takes the plunge and decides to take care of an upset Maha as well. When things seem to be going fine with his life, Vijay suddenly comes back with a vengeance to kill Arjun for cheating him. How all these problems are solved forms the basic story of Maha Samudram.

AK Entertainments are the producers and Chaitan Bharadwaj is the music director. Arjun Sharwanand and Vijay Siddharth are childhood friends who grew up like brothers. Vijay who loves Maha Aditi Rao , is forced to leave the Vizag city due to a conflict with the mafia. The rest of the film deals with how the lives of Maha, Arjun, Vijay conflict with each other. Analysis: The story of this film is a good one from the commercial standpoint, it has depth. There are seven main characters in the film; five of them are dealt with ease. The first half picks up momentum as it progresses; the interval episode leaves the audience with a positive impression. Ajay Bhupathi who delivered a hit film RX in his debut has shown impressive talent handling the first half. The technical team adequately backs him; Dialogues are to the point yet effective. The film graph goes down as it progress in second half.

Analysis: As the film begins, we understand that Arjun's life has been weathered by events that occurred over four years. I gave my rating completely based on the performance, songs, bgm, entertainment, mahasamudram rating.

Maha Samudram marks the second directorial outing of Ajay Bhupathi after the superhit RX, and that in itself should have been a guarantee of entertainment.
