I'm about to change the vanos so I was confirming my engine model using my vin. Now, my vin says I have an M I know of the M54 and the M52 but not the M I googled around a bit but there's no record of this I could find. After using a vin checking website, it turns out I have the M52tu. The M52 but with the dual vanos. But my vin doesn't match the typical M52tu vins. Does anyone have any info on this, or has my car invented it's own engine? Also, I see a lot of e46 s around as well as s, but I've never seen another I understand this was only made for 2 years. Out of interest is a well maintained worth more due to it's rarity?
