During the day, there are two hospitalist attendings on service. The primary LPCH hospitalist staffs our primary resident service team which includes one senior resident, two interns, and medical students. This service treats and manages a variety of patients with many different diagnoses from the most routine to the most complex. For our medically complex patients, we serve as the care coordinators among subspecialists to provide the most patient-centered, efficient, and safe care. Our second hospitalist serves as the consult hospitalist for various subspecialties that require our services as well as our Emergency Department.
