So first question, what is the difference between the "green top" all purpose premixed joint compound and the "blue top" premixed lightweight joint compound? I usually shop at Lowes so they have Plus 3 Sheetrock brand lightweight and the regular all purpose Sheetrock brand. I've never taped before so I'm likely to make some mistakes yes You Tube is your friend to some extent and my plan was to use paper tape for the seams. One guy I work with swears by the mesh with the sticky side though. I'd like to do a decent job, but I won't be terribly upset if there are imperfections that a tradesman would see.
